Breast cancer is a complex family of diseases, best treated by a multidisciplinary team of experts overseeing the care. At Maimonides Breast Cancer Program, that team of experts is comprised of dedicated breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, reconstructive surgeons, specially trained nurses and physician assistants, a social worker, a genetic counselor, a nutritionist, and other clinical personnel—all working collaboratively to provide optimal care.
