Our Team and Approach

Committed to providing a patient-centered multidisciplinary approach, the Maimonides Cancer Center features a talented team dedicated to treating hematologic malignancies. This team of experts includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, hematopathologists, oncology certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants, oncology certified treatment nurses, a research coordinator, a social worker, a nutritionist, a psychologist, and other clinical personnel—all working closely together to provide each patient with the very best care possible.

At regularly scheduled conferences, these hematologic oncology specialists review each patient’s case and develop an individualized treatment plan that incorporates their wide range of expertise. In addition, all of our physicians work in close collaboration with our nurse practitioners and nurses. This team approach means that a health care professional is always available to answer patients’ questions and to meet their various needs.
