Dr. Jason Shaw is the Director of Minimally Invasive General Thoracic Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Prior to joining the Maimonides team, he had five years of General Surgery training at North Shore University Hospital, two years of research at New York University, a Thoracic Surgery Fellowship at University of Miami Hospital, and an additional year of Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery training at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Jason Shaw has performed research in the field of angiogenesis, developing a mouse model to examine how blood vessels form in tumors, in order to understand how the growth of a tumor may be prevented. He has authored text book chapters, published several peer-reviewed papers, and spoken at national conferences. Dr. Shaw has been honored with the McGill University Research Award and the award for Outstanding Chief Resident in the Department of Surgery. |
