After serving 17 years as the Clinical Director of Vascular Services at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, Dr. Robert Rhee was recruited to lead the comprehensive vascular surgery program at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Rhee is a national leader in the treatment of aortic diseases and has been an active participant in significant vascular device trials. His major interests include:
- Endovascular repair of abdominal and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms
- Innovative treatment of aortic dissections and other aortic pathologies
- Carotid surgery and new carotid stenting technologies
- Minimally invasive lower extremity limb salvage procedures
- Minimally invasive dialysis access care
- Safe and effective care of patients with venous disease
Dr. Rhee has published over 85 articles in leading journals and textbooks on the topic of vascular diseases. He has lectured in over 12 countries, while, both, serving on and leading various committees in the Society for Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Surgery, and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery. |
