Mitral Valve Surgery
Modern mitral valve repair consists of surgically remodeling or reconstructing the valve to eliminate any leakage or blockage. Minimally Invasive Surgery
Minimally invasive valve surgery provides outcomes that are equal or superior to conventional open-heart surgery, with the additional benefits of fewer complications, smaller incisions, reduced risk of bleeding, fewer transfusions, and shortened recovery time. Significant benefits for patients include less pain, faster healing, and speedier return to normal function. Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
The traditional technique involves an incision down the front of the chest through the breastbone (median sternotomy). Newer techniques are currently used at our institution to improve the results and minimize discomfort after surgery. Click here to learn more.
