Gastroenterology Division at Maimonides Medical Center provides comprehensive resources for the diagnosis and therapy of diseases of the digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon), pancreas and liver. Our focus is to facilitate the development of patient care, education, and research programs in digestive and liver disease. The Division of Gastroenterology has had a long history of excellence that continues today. Gastroenterology clinical services and practices include:
Outpatient Services provided at the Maimonides Medical Center and at our faculty practice office: 4721 Ft Hamilton PKW, Brooklyn, New York
Inpatient Services, including a luminal GI service, billiary and pancreatic service, hepatology service, and consultation service at Maimonides Medical Center
Gastroenterology's Endoscopy Practice at state-of-the-art new endoscopy suite at 1025 48th street at Maimonides Medical Center. Nearly 10,000 endoscopic procedures will be performed at these facilities.
Clinical services offered by the division are covering the broad spectrum of the subspecialty. Using the latest technology for early detection and diagnosis, our board certified physicians provide the expertise and experience to treat a wide rage of conditions including:

We also offer a full-range of services in our new Endoscopy Center, including:
• Gastric Endoscopy, about 4000 procedures per year including:stricture
dilation and stent placement, banding ligation, feeding tube placement
• Colonoscopy about 4000 procedures per years including: polypectomy,
stricture dilation stent placement
• ERCP – Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, about 300-400 procedures per years including: stone removal, stent placement
• EUS – Endoscopic ultrasound, about 400-500 procedures per years including: therapeutic fine needle aspiration
• Liver biopsies
• Esophageal motility study
• Esophagus acid reflux test
Maimonides Medical Center also provides colorectal screening program to all Brooklyn residents, regardless of their ability to pay
Our staff also provides a hepatitis clinic and a colonoscopy-screening clinic for diagnostic purposes.
