Under the leadership of Chairman Javier Beltran, MD, the radiology department serves as an integral part of patient care, assisting in areas such as: cardiac care, stroke, women’s imaging, virtual imaging (colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, vascular endoscopy), and non-invasive cardiovascular imaging (CT/MR).
The Department of Radiology utilizes the most current technology of PACS/Voice Recognition with incorporated Teleradiology, for medical image management/ distribution and reporting. These technologies allow the Radiology staff to provide efficient, patient focused imaging services in a filmless and paperless environment . The imaging equipment we use includes, Three Multi-detector CT Scanners (64 and 16 slices) including one Dual Source CT Scanner.

Technologically Advanced Care
Our radiology team has access to the most state-of-the art technology available, and the ability to use this technology means that patients are given a more detailed and accurate diagnosis and an optimal treatment plan. The Medical Center works closely with affiliated community physicians by providing them with access to our picture archival and teleradiology enhancement systems. Our advanced technology allows images to be enhanced to provide the best angle for review, without having to retake the image. The image will remain on the system for retrieval later, complete with the patient’s report. The ability for multidisciplinary consultations with several physicians, while at different locations, is possible with this technology. Our goal is to minimize the amount of time it takes for our patients to receive an accurate diagnosis.
The equipment we use includes:
-
Three Multi-detector CT Scanners (64 and 16 slices) including one Dual Source CT Scanner
-
