Dr. Seifer has served as a member of the editorial board for the journals Fertility and Sterility and the Journal of Pelvic Medicine and Surgery. He is also co-editor of the textbooks Clinical Reproductive Medicine, The Physiologic Basis of Gynecology, and Obstetrics, and Office Infertility: Practice and Procedures, all geared towards physician education.
He has served as a consultant for the Food and Drug Administration and has published extensively, with over 110 peer-reviewed publications. He served as a member of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) study section for a four-year term. His continuing research, which had been funded by the NIH for ten years, has focused upon the biology of ovarian function, particularly on the biological basis of the aging ovary. Recently he received a 2011 Thomas Edison Patent Award from the Research and Development Council of New Jersey. |
