Dr. Robert Frankel, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, gives an overview of the groundbreaking Impella device. The Impella is a left ventrical assist device that aids patients if their hearts have trouble pumping blood. Maimonides was the first hospital in Brooklyn to utilize this device.
