Resident Life
EM Retreat:
The residents go on a yearly retreat, everybody is excused from their clinical duties and we spend two days in team building exercises, playing sports, and hanging out. We also spend time in discussions about ways to improve the residency program and to reviewing the rotations.
SAEM
Every year, the interns get a week off to attend the annual SAEM (Society of Academic Emergency Medicine) Conference. Its a great time to bond with your class and to attend workshops/lectures/poster presentations of the latest research in EM. All expenses are paid for and is one of the perks of this program.
EM Graduation:
The seniors are roasted and sent off with a farewell song courtesy of our chairman, Dr. Marshall and attendings: Dr. Donson, Dr. Sable, and Dr. Mahl
