Curriculum & Research
Curriculum
The year is designed to ensure that the resident acquires basic skills in cardiovascular history taking, physical examination, differential diagnosis, and electrocardiography. Particular emphasis is placed on:
- Cardiac Catherization
- Emergency Department
- Coronary Intensive Care Unit
- Consults
- Research
Research
The fellowship has a strong research emphasis. Fellows are assigned a research topic in an area of interest and is mentored by a faculty member. Projects that are likely to lead to publication are encouraged.
