Welcome to Our Program

The CA-4 fellowship in Obstetrical Anesthesiology at Maimonides Medical Center is a 12-month program designed to provide advanced experience and training in all aspects of obstetrical anesthesiology, including research, administration and clinical management of the complex obstetrical-gynecological patient. The fellow will become an experienced consultant in providing analgesia and anesthesia to the normal and high-risk pregnant patient.

The program at Maimonides is individually tailored to suit the goals of the trainee for academic or private practice. We place special emphasis on teaching, consulting, oral presentations, writing skills and academic research. The fellowship program strives to provide the appropriate environment for the fellow to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to gain competence in dealing with normal and high-risk pregnant patients undergoing obstetrical or non-obstetrical surgery. In addition, the program fosters topics of interest and achievement in academic and research pursuits.
