Throughout all our clinical areas, we embrace a philosophy of family-centered care. This philosophy affirms that families should be at the center of care for their children, and that it is the department’s responsibility to enhance their ability to promote the health and well-being of their children. All care — at the inpatient bedside, in the ambulatory centers, subspecialty faculty offices, the emergency rooms and the nurseries — is provided in a family-centered milieu.
