Welcome to Our Program

The ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Maimonides Medical Center offers an outstanding opportunity to train in a dynamic, tertiary care referral center. The Program is a major teaching affiliate of the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Long Island University, and the Fiorello H. LaGuardia Community College. These affiliations enrich the training of our residents and help to create an academic milieu superior to other community teaching hospitals. Balanced with a unique, highly diverse patient population, residents gain a worldly experience in the practice of pharmacy.

Maimonides Medical Center currently has a satellite pharmacy in the MICU and is currently implementing a satellite pharmacy in the Emergency Department. The satellite pharmacy in the MICU services the MICU/SICU and CTICU units in the hospital. The Emergency Department satellite pharmacy will service an average 100,000 patients per year and is currently the 5th busiest Emergency Department in the country.
